“The Old Neighborhood”

This piece is kind of my love letter to the neighborhood I grew up in, and the neighborhood I recently moved back to. All the animals are animals I’ve seen in my own backyard, which is a fun daily surprise. I deliberately didn’t use any specific landmarks from NE Minneapolis with the hope the imagery would resonate with people from all geographic areas and walks of life. Many thanks to these furry friends that captured my imagination growing up and continue to inspire my work.
